The Symax Class 8030 Type RIM125 16 Channel Analog Input Module provides the capability for inputting 16 channels of high level analog input signals to Symax programmable controllers which have register I/O addressing capability, or to the Symax PID loop controller. The module performs its tasks utilizing several subsystems. The analog-to-digital converter (ADC) performs the actual conversion of the selected input channel, while the multiplexor (MUX), under the control of one of the on-board microprocessors, performs the channel selection. The auto-calibration system (ACS) includes zero and reference voltage. The module also contains a DC-to-DC converter, and signal and power isolation circuitry.
