8030-CRM-260 Information: |
8030-CRM-260. The Symax Class 8030 Type CRM260 Remote IO/Net Interface Module (RIO) provides a communication interface between a Symax processor and remote I/O in the IO/Net control network. This communications interface provides the means for the processor to read and write to the input and output signals of Symax Class 8030 rack mount I/O. The RIO module resides in the first slot of a remote Symax Class 8030 Type RRK100, 200, or 300 register rack assembly and allows high-density Symax Class 8030 discrete and intelligent I/O to be controlled by a Symax processor over a PASSPORT I/O System. The Passport I/O system also includes the Symax Class 8030 Type CRM250/255 and/or the CRM270/275. Information exchanged between the RIO and the LIO includes register data, register status and bus status. The continuous exchange of data between the LIO and RIO is independent of when and how often the CPU completes its scan. Serial drops connected on the single physical channel must be daisy-chained together for a maximum of 32 drops per LIO. Depending on the bit rate and cable type, the maximum cable distance between the LIO and its drops may be as much as 7500 feet.
